Zhuhai International Convention & Exhibition Center (CEC) is located in the Shizimen Central Business District – part of Hengqin New Area – and was awarded “Best Marketing Award 2017” during the inaugural Forum & Awards Ceremony of MICE China magazine in Macau on 4 May 2018.

The CEC, financed and constructed by Zhuhai’s leading state-owned enterprise Huafa Group, opened its first phrase in October 2014. The overall development comprises an approximate gross floor area of 980,000 square meters. It is designated as the central core of the new Shizimen Central Business District, which has a total investment of over RMB12 billion.

Overlooking Macau across the water, the modern architectural complex is a domestic full-featured, large scale convention and exhibition complex offering conference facilities, a theater, concert hall, catering, a grade A office building and related commercial facilities.

Designed by 10 DESIGN with a total footprint of 269,000 meters, the net exhibition area of the CEC’s first phase is 33,000 square meters, which is able to provide 1,600 international-standard exhibition booths. Above ground, the convention center’s total construction area is approximately 34,000 square meters and is equipped with a column-free ballroom, 45 multi-functional halls and a 4,000-square meter professional banquet kitchen, capable of offering high-standard banquet service to over 10,000 people simultaneously.

Phase 2 is now under construction and will provide additional convention space supported by office and retail components totaling 273,000 square meters.
