The St. Regis Zhuhai to open in September

By Wendi Song

Iconic hotel brand St. Regis has announced that it will open The St. Regis Zhuhai in September in the Hengqin Shizimen Central Business District, making it the 10th St. Regis hotel to launch in Greater China.

Located on the 41st to 72nd floors of the 330-meter Zhuhai Tower, the hotel will take in the breathtaking ocean views and landscapes of Zhuhai and Macau. It is being developed by the Zhuhai-based, state-owned Huafa Group, with construction having started in 2013. It was designed by the Singapore office of the renowned interior architectural design firm Wilson Associates.

When open, The St. Regis Zhuhai will offer 251 guest rooms including 34 suites and an 1,100-square-meter Presidential Suite. There will also be a wide array of restaurants and lounges as well as the signature Iridium Spa and the Exercise Room.

Among the restaurant options available to guests will be Yan Ting, an opulent address for modern Cantonese fine dining at Guangdong’s highest culinary level; Social, which draws inspiration from the first-class dining saloons of late 19th century and earlier 20th century luxury cruises; and LaBrezza, an Italian restaurant located on the 71st floor and whose chefs boast experience at seven Michelin star restaurants.

The St. Regis Bar will be home to sophistication and elegance with classic jazz music filling the air while guests enjoy St. Regis’ signature Bloody Mary. Air 71 bar will serve fine cocktails along with an elaborate selection of wine, champagne and light appetizers at the top of the building.

The hotel is expected to further enhance Zhuhai’s city tourism image and promote the high-end service industry by offering world-leading facilities and amenities and internationalized business events.
