Chimelong wins its third TEA Award for Outstanding Achievement

Chimelong International Ocean Resort has been honored with its third award for Outstanding Achievement from the prestigious Themed Entertainment Association (“TEA”) for its “Journey of Lights Parade”.

It is the third time Chimelong has won the honor.

Standing out from 300 international tourism firms, Chimelong – the world’s largest marine theme resort – is the only Chinese recipient of the Award for Outstanding Achievement. It previously won a TEA Outstanding Achievement award for its theme park in 2014 and for its 5D Castle Theater in 2017.

Launched in October 2016, the Journey of Lights Parade is a story-based show that reimagines the characters and environments at Chimelong. The park’s mascot characters Kiki, Kaka, Bobby and Ocean Genie are prominently featured in their own units of the parade.

Created by Miziker Entertainment, the project includes unique interaction with the audience as well as a fireworks display in the nighttime parade.

A spectacular light display features more than half a million individual lights forming part of the story, with illuminated costumed performers and kinetic figures all synchronized to music and special effects throughout the 40-minute show which travels around the park’s central lagoon.

The upcoming second theme park of Chimelong International Ocean Resort will include the Chimelong Marine Science Museum, the largest of its kind in the world. Preparations for its Ocean Adventure Park, Indoor Ocean World, Gondola Lift, Mountaintop Park and Light-rail Station are also underway.
