Hengqin and Macau to hold regular youth entrepreneurship training camps

The major structure at Macau Arcade Plaza was topped off on 12 October. The plaza is one of the first Macau SAR recommended entrants into Guangdong-Macau Cooperation Industrial Park in Hengqin New Area.
Macau Similan Group began construction in May 2016 and plans to open next year. The RMB1 billion plaza, located in the center of Hengqin, covers a total land area of 23,000 square meters and is planned as a regional landmark international business center, integrating wholesale and retail, catering and shopping, leisure and entertainment as well as commercial office buildings and hotels.
The business and office space will specifically cater to Latin American specialty sales exhibitions, tourism resources promotion, cultural performances and Sino-Latin American commercial, tourist and cultural negotiations, according to the Similan Group.
Guangdong-Macao Cooperation Industrial Park is a significant carrier of the Framework Agreement on Cooperation Between Guangdong and Macau.
To date, 27 Macau enterprises have signed cooperation agreements with the industrial park with 22 projects having obtained rights for land use. Eighteen projects are under construction, covering leisure and tourism, logistics and commerce, education and sci-tech R&D, cultural and creative, healthcare and medicine plus hi-tech industries, according to the Macau Affairs Bureau of Administrative Committee of Hengqin New Area.
There are now 1,335 Macau-funded enterprises in Hengqin, representing a total investment of RMB13 billion.
