The St. Regis Zhuhai held its official opening last Thursday 18 October. Covering the 41st to 72nd floors of the 330-meter Zhuhai Tower, located at the center of Hengqin Shizimen Central Business District, the luxury hotel features a signature butler service and world class dining and is expected to further enhance Zhuhai’s tourism image by promoting the high-end service industry by offering world-leading facilities and amenities and internationalized business events.

St. Regis Zhuhai is Marriott’s second collaboration with Huafa Group following the launch of the Sheraton Zhuhai Hotel in 2015.

Henry Lee, Chief Operations Officer & Managing Director, Greater China, Marriott International, stated during the opening ceremony that the St.Regis Zhuahi is the company’s second collaboration with Huafa Group, after the Sheraton Zhuhai Hotel launched in 2015.

“In the past years, Sheraton Zhuhai Hotel has been instrumental in supporting and witnessing Zhuhai’s accelerated growth,” said Lee. “We are thrilled to be able to bring the iconic St. Regis experience to this charming city of Zhuhai, elevating the region’s luxury hospitality landscape.

“Globally, luxury travel has risen steadily, growing twice as fast as any other type of travel. China is the main contributor of this phenomenal growth and as the Chinese economy rapidly develops, the demand for luxury travel will continue to grow. Having The St. Regis Zhuhai in the local market, I am confident that it will bring exceptional luxury and high quality service to our guests who visit this area.”

The St. Regis Zhuhai is the 10th St. Regis hotel in China and the third in the Greater Bay Area following The St. Regis Shenzhen and The St. Regis Macau. The St. Regis Hong Kong is expected to open in Q219.
