Hengqin International Tennis Center will be open for use by residents of Zhuhai, Hong Kong and Macau free of charge from 11 August to 31 December, Huafa Sports has revealed.
The available areas will be the No.1 to No.12 training grounds which are open every weekend from 09:00 to 12:00 and from 13:00 to 20:00. During opening hours, residents can visit and use the relevant training facilities for free. Supporting facilities such as the lounge, children’s activity room, showers and dressing rooms are also available.
Interested parties can make reservations via phone on +86 400 9688 400, WeChat (ID: huafatiyu) or in person at the Hengqin International Tennis Club.
Reservations must be made at least one day in advance and can be booked two weeks ahead. Cancellations must be made at least six hours in advance.
Completed before the first WTA Elite Trophy Zhuhai in 2015, the Hengqin International Tennis Center has been a WTA venue for the past three years and has also successfully hosted The Australian Open Asia-Pacific Wildcard Play-off and Zhuhai Open, Zhuhai Challenger and Zhuhai ITF Women’s Pro Circuit event.
The free opening of the tennis center on weekends is aimed at broadening fitness options for the public.
